The reinstallation of Informix project is now reaching its final stages. We are currently training end users and conducting migration testing in preparation for ‘Go Live’.
We are pleased to inform you that the ‘Go Live’ date will be Tuesday 6th April 2010
The switch over has been scheduled for the Easter bank holiday weekend in order to minimise disruption to your business.
HOW WILL THE CHANGE OVER AFFECT YOU?
1. Account Number Change
Your account number will revert to your previous Informix number from 1st April 2010. A reminder of your account number (or a new number if you didn’t have one previously) will be sent to you by post in the next few days. Please look out for your letter. If you have not received your letter by Monday 29th March, please contact Customer Services on 0845 705 6568.
2. Minimal disruption to ordering
The switch over will be phased over several days. Below is a timetable outlining the phases involved and the ordering implications you should be aware of.
You can continue to place orders throughout the switch over via Synergi, fax 0800 28 25 30 or by calling Customer Services on 0800 28 27 28. Any orders placed between Thursday 1st April and Monday 5th April will be stored until they can be processed on Tuesday 6th April.
3. Synergi Users
You will receive an email from Daphne Libby explaining how to upgrade your Synergi package. This will automatically switch over to your new account number. If you have not received an email by Friday 26th March, please contact the IT helpdesk on (01228) 611888.
4. Accounts Information
From Tuesday 6th April, please be aware that all new invoices and credit notes issued from John Ritchie t/a STL Distribution will be reverting to the Informix format.
Statements will be produced in the Informix format from the end of March, and will show only invoices and credit notes due to John Ritchie Ltd t/a STL Distribution. Unfortunately there has been a delay with producing the pre-printed statement paper, so you may receive some on blank paper temporarily.
5. Backorders
The majority of backorders will have been migrated from SAP to the Informix system by go live. If you have any questions regarding your backorders during this period, please contact Customer Services on 0845 705 6568.
We are confident that this change over will go smoothly. Our goal is to be up and running by the 6th April with minimal disruption to your business. As we make progress throughout the transition we will keep you updated here on this blog.
