Informix & Stock update – deliveries just in!

Informix Go-Live

We are pleased to report that the implementation of Informix has gone very smoothly and orders are being entered and processed as usual. As you might expect with a project of this size, there have been some minor issues to resolve, which are in the process of being addressed. The majority of these relate to internal functions which will not affect you, but please be aware of the following which relates to backorders.

Promotional Discounts on Backorders

During the course of our backorder migration process, there were a small number of scenarios where we could not completely automate every aspect. This has affected a number of promotional discounts and in these circumstances your normal trade discount will have defaulted.

We are currently working through these backorders manually to update them to the correct promotional discount. However, if you come across any incorrect discounts on your invoices please contact Customer Services on 0845 705 6568 (calls charged at local rate) who will be happy to arrange a credit.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Informix Switchover - going to plan

Informix Update

We are pleased to inform you that the switch over to Informix went smoothly. We are now receiving and processing orders as normal. The key activities have been tested and are all working well. A number of lower priority functions are still in the process of being switched on and tested.

Please use your Informix account number when ordering. If you haven’t received a letter containing details of your Informix account number, please contact Customer Services on 0845 705 6568.

Backorders

The majority of back orders have been migrated to Informix with the balance being completed in the next few days. Line references could not be transferred across; therefore order references for each migrated backorder will consist of two parts: SAP 6 digit order number followed by your PO number. This will all be contained in one field. If you have any questions relating to backorders, please contact Customer Services on 0845 705 6568.

Order / Invoice Number

As you will be aware, all new invoice and credit notes have now reverted to the Informix format. There will be one six digit order / invoice number.

Status Codes (availability)

The status codes which appear on your invoices will revert back to the ones used previously by STL Distribution. However, these codes will not be printed on the reverse of your invoice as previously. Please find a reminder of status code descriptions below.

Goodbye To June!

We would like to say thank you and farewell to our Customer Service Manager June Archer who took early retirement at the end of March. June started working at STL in November 1990, as one of the three original members of the Customer Service department, and has given the highest possible standard of service to our customers over the years. She is now looking forward to spending time with her family, travelling, gardening, reading and all the other things she hasn’t had time to do over the last 19½ years! We wish her well for her retirement.

As we say goodbye to June, we would like to welcome our new Customer Service Manager Louise Dawson, who takes charge of the department from today. Louise has been with STL for 6 years and is very much looking forward to starting her new role. You can find out a bit more about Louise in the May/June issue of Bulletin.

STL Distribution is pleased to announce a new wholesale distribution agreement with Gospel Light and Regal Books, publishers of bestsellers including What The Bible Is All About (Henrietta Mears) and The Measure Of A Man (Gene Getz).

The mission of Gospel Light is to know Christ and make Him known; to provide His Church with effective Bible teaching and learning resources for use in making disciples, empowering them for godly living, equipping them for ministry and the evangelisation of the world.

To accomplish this, Gospel Light’s vision is to provide local church leaders with evangelism, discipleship and Christian education resources which will help them reach and make disciples of their church's families, singles, children and youth for Christ, and which will help them equip their church to reach their communities for Christ.

We are excited to be able to supply these resources for the ministry and work of Christ in the UK.
