Just to let you know that the email address on the form bounces back as a mailer-daemon with a user unknown fault.
Anychance of a working email address for a log-in please?
Thanks

Two points:

1. If it's "free carriage to UK" why has every consignment I've ever received at LST from STL USA via STL UK had hefty carriage charges slapped on? Would be grateful if someone would investigate and advise asap, please. In most cases the 40% discount has been effectively reduced to 25% because of this: buyer beware!

2. When the two companies were both part of Biblica I can see that ordering from STL USA might have helped to support the business. Since Biblica have decided to pull the plug on UK operations, surely any orders we send to STL USA must undermine STL UK even further in its hour of need? This now strikes me as feeding the dog that bit us!! (Thanks to Melanie for raising this point over on the UKCBD blog).

Please confirm whether any such deliveries will be despatched direct to store, or will be routed via the Carlisle warehouse?

Hi UnicorntreebooksBoss,

Thanks for alerting us to this. The email address was supplied to us by our colleagues in the US. We sent emails this morning with no bounces; we will endeavour to speak with someone early afternoon (once they are back in the office) to ensure it is working correctly. international@STL-distribution.com should be working this afternoon

Kind regards,
STL Distribution blog team

Hi Phil,

Thanks for your comments.

In response:
1. Carriage - The arrangement we communicated on Friday is a new set of terms to serve customers in UK where we currently can’t supply. FREE carriage is new.

2. With regards to US and UK working together - Our current difficulties have resulted in our inability to supply all the titles we would like to, in particular US titles. We’ve taken these steps to ensure that you and the rest of the trade can get a best service from the States that we can facilitate.

With regard to the future of STL Distribution UK - The UK team are working hard with our financial advisers to find a buyer for the organisation and until the situation is resolved we feel it necessary to seek out the best option to support the UK trade we can, thus working closer with STL Distribution North America.

Our prayer is that a suitable buyer will be found to maintain the Christian distribution presence to support both retailers and publishers.

Thanks for all your endeavours to raise the profile of our plight and please continue to pray for the staff here in Carlisle, Milton Keynes and in the shops around the country.

Kind regards,
STL Distribution blog team

Thanks guys. That makes more sense: apologies for misunderstanding.

With you all the way in prayer and in any other ways that I can help. Hoping none of the team have been caught up in the flood disasters in other parts of Cumbria!

Our first orders on this scheme with STL USA were placed last Friday and they arrived today (Friday) after just 5 working days. This is good for a new service, at a busy time of the year.

I wish I could say the same - my order was placed on the 25th and i am still awaiting it.
There is unfortunately no ability to track the parcel so I am awaiting a response to see where the box is.
I have however in a mood of hope placed another today in the hopes it will be a quicker service this time on, and who knows may encourage the other box to arrive :0)
