99 years tomorrow since the Titanic sank

The Titanic struck the iceberg at 23.40 on the night of the 14th April, 1912, sinking the following morning.
We have two excellent books – one for adults and one for children:

Thomas Nelson have just published The Band That Played On by Steve Turner: the never before told inspiring stories of the eight brave musicians who played as the Titanic sank.
Based on original, new research: contemporary news accounts from the local newspapers in the regions where the musicians were raised, the written testimonies of survivors, census records, birth records and archives from White Star Line, shipping log records and much more.
May 2011 marks the centenary of the launch of Titanic.

Featured in our new Children's promotion for Retail Partners is Titanic: the ship of dreams from Christian Focus' Torchbearers series. As the icy waters brought the life of John Harper to a close he still had the energy to call one final person to come to Christ.

This week’s featured publisher is RoperPenberthy Publishing which was founded in 2001 and is based in Surrey. RoperPenberthy publish a number of key titles including the following:

Thy Kingdom Come

Christopher Catherwood

Evangelical Christianity is the fastest growing section of the Christian Church in the world today, spreading rapidly in Africa, South America, China and beyond; no longer is it the religion of white, middle class westerners.
Christopher Catherwood examines the historical roots of evangelicalism, its doctrines, and the social and political implications that flow from them.
Together with an overview of the strength of evangelicalism in different countries and continents he shows that the Christian faith, and especially its evangelical expression, has broken free from its colonial and western past to become a truly global player in the 21st Century.

Christopher Catherwood is an author and lecturer on Balkan and Middle Eastern History with a special emphasis on the conflicts between Christianity and Islam. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and a Member of the Institute of Strategic Studies. He is the author of many books, most notably Winston's Folly: Churchill and the Creation of Iraq and A God Divided.
